Jim Lamb "Pa" was the original owner of Briarpatch Winery in Briartown which he sold in 2013. In August of 2020 we received a phone call that the new owner was closing and selling all the wine making equipment. Pa’s son and daughter-in-law Kelly and Janette Lamb seized the opportunity to bring back the original recipes and quality of wine that Pa has perfected over the past 20 years. He agreed to train and mentor Janette and grandson Zach Lamb in his wine making secrets. With his blessing, help, and training we opened ON THE LAMb WINERY. We “allegedly” have a long family history of outlaws on both sides. Nestled between Belle Star Landing and Robbers Cave, “being on the LAM from the law” was a common thread in the region as outlaws attempted to escape Hanging Judge Parker’s far reach out of Ft. Smith. With THREE generations of winemakers, we hope our wine will bring back some good memories of Briarpatch Winery while making many more along the way. We always enjoy seeing old friends and making new ones. Pa has been known to make an appearance at the Winery from time to time and loves to reconnect with old customers.

B&amp;G is a family owned meadery with a focus of making mead that people will love and enjoy. Our hope is to also provide an environment where you can come relax, and taste some mead. Our meads are made with local honey, fruits and well water. Currently we offer seven flavors of mead with a new flavor added periodically. B&amp;G was started by me, Cassandra Gore. It's my dream to build a legacy to leave for my kids and grandkids. These days all hands are on deck and each kid has a job to do. Even the husband. :-) Although B&amp;G is a relatively new meadery, we definitely are not new to mead making. We're a family meadery backed by 30 years of mead making experience.

There's seating for 30+ near our elderberry fields, where you'll be surrounded by native wildflowers. Weather permitting, it's truly a lovely place to unwind and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature on our regenerative farm. Take the dirt road: it's part of the adventure!

Fish Tales offers a variety of wine, but specializes in Muscadine wine made from grapes grown in our vineyards. Our Bistro offers great food, too!Discovered by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1584, the muscadine is considered to be America’s first grape, but it may be better known as the “grape of the south”. Muscadine vines can be found along forgotten country roadsides, in the occasional opening of an overgrown forest, or sometimes at an abandoned homestead. When late summer arrives, you may find your neighbor off the front porch and in the woods searching for this juicy black grape to make jelly and homemade wine. We invite you to enjoy one of the same discoveries of our settlers.Fish Tales Winery's Grand Opening is currently scheduled for March 12, 2016. We are located across from the main entrance to Beaver's Bend Park in what was Three Rivers Fly Shop in the beautiful Hochatown tourist area.

In 2005, the three of us loaded up for a fun girl's trip to Dallas. You know the drill..Shopping, wine, massages, wine. While there, we took in a downtown winery that offered the option to make your own wine. We decided to go for it! We made two batches of wine, and after returning to bottle, cork and foil it, we thought, Hey! Let's do this in Hochatown!" So we did. The doors opened on April Fool's Day (not a joke) in 2006. Our plan was simple and honestly we never meant this to be a "real" business. We had no formal business plan but we locked arms and dove into a partnership with a mission to have fun – fun with customers; fun with wine; fun with each other and our employees. AND if the business didn't succeed the plan was to get a pink leather sofa and a TV to watch chick flicks. If no customers came we would drink the wine and watch rom-coms. Good plan

As lifelong residents of the Gerty, OK area, Bobby and Wilma Harden had always wanted to diversify their cattle ranch into something a little more fun. They both enjoy a good glass of wine from time to time and thought that a little out of the way retreat might be good a way for them to spend their retirement. It wasn't easy but the Hardens sculpted their property into a quiet little winery and vineyard. After a few years of work and preparation, Rocky Top Winery is now open for business and the Hardens are retired from their town" jobs and are living the life they always wanted out on the ranch.
